| | Arctics for top spot an chart statistic madnes |
| By: Pete... January 21, 2006 5:00pm Arctic Monkeys look set for another number one hit tomorrow, and their debut album is tipped to be the fastest selling rock debut of all time. 'When The Sun Goes Down' looks set to be the first, and possibly only, song about Neepsend prostitutes to make the top spot. And pre-orders of the album 'Whatever You Say I Am, That's What I'm Not', which is out on Monday, suggest demand may outstrip the previous record-holder for a debut, Oasis's 'Definitely Maybe' in 1994. It is estimated the Arctics may shift 200,000 copies in the first week. The band play a gig at The Leadmill on Sunday, as a warm up for their gig on the NME tour. [link]
